For those of you that know about SB samples that have been scrapped this is a pair many High top SB lovers would kill to get their hands on. As you know samples are extremely hard to get your hands on unless you have a connection and the funds to purchase.

Info on the Lucky Bee Sample: "In many cultures bees are signs of great luck, nobility, harmony and bliss. This Classic Green/Varsity Yellow FT sample features an all suede/nubuck upper and a carefully embroidered NIKE AIR bee on the outer heel panels. Reportedly the first "look-see" sample in the "Lucky" dunk series, the "Lucky Bee" SB is rumored to be the only pair of its kind in existence. There are only one pair of these in the world. They were scheduled to be released by Nike with "the beer pack" including these, the Heineken's, the dos equis URLs, and the Pabst Blue Ribbons. However, Heineken made Nike stop producing the Heineken dunk lows, and Nike scrapped the whole pack. These shoes were made for mickeys fine malt liquor and were not samples of the Lucky's. So instead of trying to obtain a extremely rare sample Kybosh went to sharp020 with the idea of creating a custom of these impossible to obtain samples: (info via solecollector.com/forums)

Nike SB Dunk High Gucci aka RESN

It has been quite a few years since we have seen a release as hyped as this Gucci/RESN release. There hasn't been this much hype since the "Tiffany" Nike Dunk SB Low release back in 2005. The Gucci/RESN Dunk High is one of the November 2009 Quickstrike(QS) releases; the other being the HUF Blazers. Even though just a regular QS release people camped out for hours for this release. When stores opened they flew off the shelves.

They are based on the 2005 Sample pair that was scrapped due to copyright infringement. The colorway has been said to be inspired by the infamous colors used by Gucci. People have been waiting for this pair to release for four years now. The pair that was released does differ from the sample pair slightly. The denim is not frayed like the samples also the Nike SB tongue tag has been replaced with a tag that has the name RESN on it. According to rumor the RESN tag is a reference to the colors of the shoe: green = weed, red = fire and black = resn (or resin.)

Almost every shop in the USA has already released their pairs and many places in Europe and Asia have already released also. A few countries have not released or received their shipment yet. Shops were charging anywhere from box price ($108) to $215 being the highest price I saw from a shop. I was lucky enough to purchase my pairs for $108 and $120 without having to camp for them. Resellers bought up as many as they could knowing the price of these will continue to rise in the future. With all of the hype surrounding this release I won't be surprised to see the price increasing to $300+ in the next few years. Below is a few pictures of my pairs along with some extras.
